Oriental rugs — Paris 7th
We pay more for your rug because we wash it ourselves
Most buyers deduct cleaning, restoration and storage from their offer. We have our own workshop, so those costs never come out of your price.
What we do
Four trades, one address
A shop and a washing workshop in the 7th arrondissement of Paris, a few doors from La Pagode and a short walk from Les Invalides.
We buy
Persian, Caucasian, Turkish and Central Asian rugs, kilims, silk pieces and Aubusson or Gobelins tapestries. Free written valuation, free collection, paid on the day, no commission. How the buy-back works.
We clean
Dusting, colour testing, hand washing with neutral products, flat drying. Nothing is subcontracted. Rug cleaning in Paris.
We restore
Fringes, selvedges, holes, moth damage. A written quote first, and an honest answer when a piece is not worth the money. Rug restoration.
We sell
Antique and contemporary pieces, all hand-knotted or hand-woven. We lend you the rug for a few days so you can see it in your own light. Rugs for sale.

Why our offer is higher
The workshop is the whole difference
A dealer without a workshop has to send your rug out to be washed and repaired before reselling it. He knows what that costs, and he takes it off what he offers you.
We do the washing and the mending ourselves, on our own floor, with our own people. Those two lines are simply not deducted. That is the entire reason our figure is usually the higher one — not generosity, arithmetic.
Estate and inheritance
Rugs nobody knows what to do with
Emptying a flat after a death raises questions no one prepared you for. Rugs are usually the objects people hesitate over longest.
We produce a written, dated valuation, one sheet per rug, usable for a division between heirs, a notary or an insurer. It is free if you sell us at least one piece. Estate rug valuation.
The shop
51 rue de Babylone, Paris 7th
An address, not a contact form. Rugs are unrolled flat, the back is read against the light, and you get a figure in front of you.
